George J. King

George King Bio-Medical is a third-generation, family-owned and operated company located in Overland Park, Kansas. Our journey began in the 1950s when our founder, George J. King, became actively involved with the Hemophilia Foundation in his hometown of Rochester, NY. His dedication to the local chapter soon caught the attention of the National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF), leading to his eventual presidency of the organization.

During his tenure with the NHF, George formed lasting relationships with individuals affected by bleeding disorders and gained a deep understanding of the financial burdens associated with these conditions. He also connected with leading doctors in the bleeding disorders community, recognizing the critical need for research and testing resources.

In 1973, George made the decision to leave his corporate career and founded George King Bio-Medical, Inc. in Salem, New Hampshire. The company relocated to Overland Park, Kansas, in 1978, where it continues to thrive today. His legacy of compassion and innovation lives on, with his family still deeply involved in the company’s operations. Notably, his granddaughter, Kelly Wornall, serves as a board member of the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation.

We are proud to continue the legacy that George King built, serving as an internationally renowned supplier of clinical hemostasis products.
